A few pointers to help you
How do I book?
All bookings must be made through the sales office by either telephone, using our online booking form or by placing orders with our drivers.
Will I need to light the skip in hours of darkness?
Depending upon your local council’s requirements it may be your responsibility to ensure that the skip is suitably lit in accordance with the guidelines set out in the skip permit licence.
Where can I have my skip sited?
Skips can be sited onto private property such as your driveway/front garden, even over low front walls or low fences/low hedges as our vehicles have extending arms. Our skips can also be cited on business premises, offices or factory units. If there is nowhere to put the skip that is on private property, then a local authority/council skip permit/skip licence must be applied for.
Would I need council permission to place a skip on the road, verge or pavement?
Yes. You will need to obtain a Skip permit/Skip Licence from your local Council. They will charge a fee for the skip to be placed on the road, verge or pavement. We can arrange a skip permit for you, depending on which council the address is covered by. However, in some cases, you may have to apply for a permit yourself depending on the borough and its requirements.
Covered Skips
What can we put in a covered skip?
Sizes range from 10, 12, 14 and 16 Yards
Cardboard, bubblewrap, packaging, wooden pallets and electrical fittings. These type of skips are mainly used for business premises or if a site is required to keep the skips covered. We only allow light waste to be thrown into the skip.

Wait & Load
What if I cannot get a Skip Permit/Skip Licence?
If, for example, you require a skip urgently we offer a ‘wait and load service’, where the driver drops the skip in the road and will wait while you load the skip. This means that the skip is not left unattended at any point and therefore there is no need for a permit. Please contact us for further information.
